Jerusalem Leaders Summit

The International Leaders Summit brought together leaders from America, Britain, continental Europe,  India and Israel to its inaugural Jerusalem Leaders Summit event in  2015, affirming the rule of law civilization, based on shared principles  and values. The Fourth Jerusalem Leaders Summit scheduled for 2022, is a  unique high-level event featuring leading voices who will articulate  principled solutions in addressing the 21st century’s economic concerns,  global threats and security challenges.

The Fourth Jerusalem Leaders Summit will focus on strengthening the  rule of law, advancing economic freedom and free trade, and featuring  contributions from the fields of innovation and technology that benefit  individuals around the world. For the 2022 strategic events, the  International Leaders Summit is organizing an “International Trade  Vision Trip to Israel” – engaging an international delegation of  entrepreneurs and business leaders advancing policy initiatives which  champion the expansion of free and fair trade.

The Summit builds upon high-level meetings in Europe and the United  States with events hosted at the European Parliament in Brussels,  Capitol Hill, Washington, DC, London, Ljubljana, Prague and Warsaw. At  the International Leaders Summit events, commencing with the inaugural  events of 2004, moderators of strategic summit sessions have included  editors from The Economist, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal  and other influential media groups.

Distinguished speakers at International Leaders Summit events in  Europe, India, Israel and the US have included Edwin Meese III,  America’s 75th attorney general, Mart Laar, prime minister, Estonia,  Ayelet Shaked, justice minister, Israel, Ivan Miklos, finance minister,  Slovakia, Maurice McTigue, QSO, cabinet member, New Zealand, Andrej  Bajuk, finance minister, Slovenia, Monica Macovei, justice minister,  Romania, Governor Phil Bryant, The State of Mississippi, Sir Ivan  Lawrence, former member of British Parliament, C. Time for the United States to expand the Abraham Accords | The Jerusalem Post | Dec. 26, 2022

Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy wrote:

Saudi Arabia, known for taking steps to move away from oil  dependency, could become the leading country to affirm this pro-growth  policy for the Middle East. Through the Abraham Accords, it could join  the efforts “to pursue a vision of peace, security and prosperity in the  Middle East and around the world” as agreed by the original signatories  and their partners.

America’s  elected officials in Congress and governors have led successful foreign  trade missions with tangible results. Leaders representing Israel and  America’s private enterprises joined by Israel’s incoming government  should rally behind the Middle East’s most successful peace and trade  initiative. Israel’s small- and medium-sized enterprises will benefit  greatly from the expansion of the Abraham Accords.

Supporting  the policy of expanding the Abraham Accords by engaging nations such as  Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and other Arab nations would usher in a new  era of peace, prosperity and stability for the region and beyond.

President  Ronald Reagan provided a guiding principle when talking about commerce  among people and nations, and how its noble aims deter conflicts: “Free  trade serves the cause of economic progress, and it serves the cause of  world peace.”

It  is a worthy challenge for the incoming leadership in Congress, eager to  shake up Washington’s status quo; a new government in Israel aspiring  to forge new alliances in the Middle East, and Saudi Arabia’s goals to  transform its economy.

Robust efforts to jump-start the principled Abraham Accords will create jobs, fuel economic growth and advance peace and stability in the Middle East.
